"Amrit Snan" officially replaces "Shahi Snan" for Haridwar 2027

For the first time in the Haridwar Kumbh's history, the Uttarakhand government has adopted the ancient term Amrit Snan (Nectar Bath) for the royal bathing days — 6 March, 8 March and 14 April 2027 — continuing the renaming begun at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025.

2026 · Nashik-Trimbakeshwar

Simhastha 2027 flag hoisting set for 31 October 2026

The Dhwajarohan on the Godavari will formally open the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha period, which runs nearly 21 months to 24 July 2028. Main Amrit Snans: 2 August, 31 August, and 11–12 September 2027 — Vaishnava Akharas at Ramkund, Shaiva Akharas at Kushavarta Tirtha.

Simhastha 2028 dates announced: 27 March – 27 May 2028

Madhya Pradesh has confirmed the Ujjain Simhastha window with royal snans on 9 April, 23 April and 8 May 2028. Major Shipra ghat expansion and city infrastructure works are underway in preparation.
